Photography and producing cards and prints is very much a hobby for me and producing this website is a way of being able to share the results of my hobby.
Some of you may have come across a number of my cards and prints in the past when they were available in the Agora shop in Woodhouse Eaves. There they were sold, via Fiona, through my then company Redwood Informatics. Sadly neither Agora or Redwood Informatics exit anymore. However, the wet and rather miserable weather of this January & February had at least one positive effect on me. It encouraged me to spend the time to build this website! Now I can once again offer my cards & prints to those who like them, all be it via a website rather than through a physical shop.
I live in the Charnwood area so many of my photographs have been taken in this beautiful area of Leicestershire. Quite a number of other photographs come from a wide variety of holiday adventures.
Not only have I had to develop my photography skills and web design skills, but I've also enjoyed building an understanding of high quality printing and the need to have a high quality printer, high quality inks and excellent quality paper in order to produce top quality cards and prints.
Developing web design skills to a reasonable level has been another hobby activitiy that I've come to enjoy since retiring from my ‘real’ work. Although I’d dabbled with buiding websites during my working years, building websites really started for me when groups in the village were in need of simple websites, so I started learning how to build them. This has resulted in a few websites for village groups as well as my own, although that has been a bit more complex. Examples of these can be found in our local history group website, the heritage lottery project website about the restoration of the chancel in our local St Paul's church, and more recently St Pauls Church Woodhouse Eaves website to provide information obout our local St Paul's church.
